Controlling Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Performing timely controlling activities, managing cost control during monthly/quarterly/year-end close in accordance with the local specifics and company policies
- Coordination/maintaining and monitoring of overall month-end closing till submission of financial results to Group Accounting
- Playing advisory role for general accounting/ finance questions related to accruals, proper accounting guidelines, etc.
- Cooperation related to data collection with various stakeholders: headquarter controlling, business partners, group accounting / reporting teams, local finance organizations, general ledger, etc.
- Managing the preparation of financial outlook and reporting from available sources
- Monitoring, preparation, and commenting trend analysis for balance sheet (B/S) and profit and loss (P&L)
- Act as monitoring/steering Controlling contact for OBSE Accounting team with regards to Cross-Business standard finance processes (freight, duty, personnel)
- Conducting ad-hoc analysis of data and report findings (e.g. open item reports, capex overview, vendor list)
- Supporting financial planning, budgeting and reporting activities (P&L, Balance Sheet)
- Providing reliable and meaningful financial information to managing directors and other stakeholders
- Supporting process standardization, automation together with the implementation of corporate guidelines
- Creating and update process manuals documentation
- Supporting internal/external audit process and JSOX controls (analytical reviews and provision of data)
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Finance/ Accounting/Business Administration/Industrial Engineering or related
- Solid experience in data analysis and visualization
- Working experience in accounting & finance areas with at least 2 years in controlling & reporting department
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Fluent English both written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Proactive approach, strategic thinking with changes proposal for longer business benefits of Olympus
- Solid skills in problem solving, ability to take ownership and collaborate with various stakeholders
- Knowledge of HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) and Cognos BI as an advantage
- SAP FICO extended know how incl. defined month end controls
